Currently we are discussing the renowned Mountains and Rivers Sutra from Dogen's classic explication of Zen Buddhist practice, Shobogenzo (sometimes translated as Treasury of the True Dharma Eye).

NOTE: We are using Carl Bielefelds' translation of the
Mountains and Rivers Sutura, done for Standford University's Soto Zen Text Project. Copies will be available at the discussion group. But you can also find the text and notes from Carl Bielefelds' translation at http://www.stanford.edu/group/scbs/sztp3/translations/shobogenzo/translations/sansuikyo/sansuikyo.html and http://www.stanford.edu/group/scbs/sztp3/translations/shobogenzo/translations/sansuikyo/sansuikyo.notes.html.

Discussion begins at 8 pm. Tea is served at 9:30 pm.

For those wishing to meditate before the discussion, there is a 30 minute zazen session at 7:30 pm in the zendo.
